Pac-12 Opening Up

The Pac-12 is going to allow all sports to have
voluntary workouts beginning on June 15. This
will depend on the rules of each state during
the pandemic.

King County is still on phase 1 so the likelihood
any Washington Huskies athletes will be able
to do workouts on campus is likely not to happen.

King County will have to be in phase 2 to where
up to five people can be in the same area long as
they continue social distancing. I am sure some
of the Huskies are able to do some workouts on
their own depending on where they are living
right now.

Much of Eastern Washington is opening up to
phase 2 so the Washington State Cougars athletes
should be able to do voluntary workouts long as
they stay in groups of five. If they are able to
move to phase 3 then they can have up to 50
in a group.

Gonzaga is not part of the Pac-12, however, they
should be able to do the same as the Cougars.

This certainly will give the Cougars and the Bulldogs
advantage over the Huskies at this point. When
counties are able to go to phase 4 they will be able
to have large groups. This could happen in late June
for these two team while the Huskies may not reach
the fourth phase until Late July at the earliest.
