There still no action going on with the Seahawks outside of meetings
on zoom. Until King County can get into at least phase 2 players
won't be able get together in person.
At this point it is hard to know whether the Seahawks will have
any fans in Century Link Field or not. As we know it depends on
how the virus goes.
The talk among the Seahawks as everyone I am sure knows
surrounded around the death last week of George Floyd the
black man murdered by a Minneapolis police officer.
As we know to many of the Seahawk players are black. The
sad thing how blacks have been treated especially by the
police hasn't changed since the days of Martin Luther King Jr.
or way before that.
It shows doesn't matter whether the black person is rich or
poor many are treated the same way. In Seattle the mayor
wants to make sure changes do occur. She has been flooded
with thousands of emails by those who have been protesting
over the last five days.
Sometimes issues like this covers not only by the news it
goes directly into sports as well. We have to think of Jackie
Robinson to broke the color barrier in baseball who eventually
allowed everyone to have a chance in playing in professional
sports.
Hopefully we will have some good news next week concerning
the Seahawks and the NFL. May peace be with you all.
