Paxton's Final Tune Up

The Seattle Mariners decided to have James
Paxton start against the San Francisco Giants
on Saturday night though he will be facing
them in the second game of the regular season
next Friday.

Paxton went four innings giving up two hits,
two walks while striking out nine. The Mariners
ended up winning 5-0.

Manager Scott Servais let Taylor Trammell
know he made the opening day roster.
Trammell wept and then called his fiancé
along with his parents with the good news.
Also, Will Vest the rule 5 player was told
he made the roster as well so for the time
being he is still a Mariner.

Servais said to that Justin Dunn will be
in the six man rotation to start out with
as well. Equally everything out it allows
the Mariners to have two righties in the
rotation.

Trammell started again in center field
as Kyle Lewis is still not playing because
of his knee injury. Scott Servais said there
is a possibility that Lewis could be on the
injured list when the season begins so
someone may make the roster who would
have been sent down.

Trammell had a great night playing having
two hits including a home run driving in
four of the Mariners five runs.

Jake Fraley continue to improve on his
hitting get a hit along with scoring two
runs including when Trammell hit his
home run.

The Mariners don't play on Sunday and
have final game of camp on Monday
then head to Seattle to start the season
on Thursday.

If Lewis is out to begin the season likely
Trammell will be in center and Fraley
will start in left.  Go M's.
