Preview: SF 49ers at Seahawks

This week the 49ers and the Seahawks
are playing on  Thursday night football.
This will be the Seahawks third game
in ten days. I am sure they will enjoy
the break after.

The Seahawks lead the series 30-22.
The Seahawks dominated during
Russell Wilson time as quarterback
with 17-4 record. Since then the 49ers
have gotten better they have won the
last five games against each other.

The Seahawks got off to a good start
this season winning their first three
games.  Injuries to the defensive line
hasn't helped in the losses to the Lions
on Monday night football and this last
Sunday against the NY Giants.

The Seahawks haven't run the ball a
lot in the two losses especially against
the Giants where they did it eleven times.
Ken Walker 3 after missing games 2 and
3 returned in the two losses however
didn't carry the ball a lot especially against
the Giants. He had only five carries.

Geno Smith is out throwing the ball a
lot whether by design or not. For the
Seahawks to win they have to get back
to running the ball and the passing will
be more effective and Geno won't have
to run for his life so much. Both losses
DK Metcalf fumbled after catching the
ball and the Seahawks went into a fall.
This Thursday be important he doesn't
fumble by trying to get more yardage.

The 49ers  began the season beating
the NY Jets 32-19. Things looked good
however they lost the next two on the
road at Minnesota and the LA Rams.
Both losses were less than by a TD.
They came home to beat NE Patriots
30-13. On Sunday they lost to the
Arizona Cardinals by a point 24-23.

The 49ers losing both road games
will want to change things coming
to Seattle their top rival in the NFC
West. The Seahawks hope to be
more healthy on the defensive line.
I am sure Coach Macdonald will
look at making some changed on
the defense as well as OC Ryan
Gruff on the offense.

This game could go where it could
be a blow out and I expect by the
49ers winning or a close game with
either team being victorious. We hope
the Seahawks back on the winning
track. The Seahawks will have ten
days off before playing the Falcons
in Atlanta. We hope not licking their
wounds. Go Hawks!
