becoming real familiar. This is
like a lot of the teams of the past.
They lose one game because of
pitching and another lack of offense.
The one Wednesday afternoon was
combination of both. Robbie Ray
gave up two runs in the sixth inning
despite striking out ten batters. He gave up a two run home while earlier
giving up a slolo shot.
The Mariners had opportunities but couldn't cash in. Also Paul Sewald
gave up a run in the 9th making it
harder for the Mariners offense.
Losing the middle game of the series
would have been OK if the Mariners
took care of this one. Score A's 4 M's 2.
The Mariners now are 2-8 in their
last ten games. Overall they are 18-27.
Now last place, half game behind A's.
Have better talent they show.
The Mariners have Thursday off.
See if they make any moves before
Friday's game against the Houston
Astros at home. At least they have
done better against them at home
than the road. They do face Justin
Verlander on Friday.
Next time we will look how the pitchers
and hitters have done in their last seven games. Go M's.
