Good Pitching But Another Loss. Seahawks Draft on Saturday

For the second game on this road
trip the Mariners had a great pitching
performance but they couldn't get
it done offensively.

The Mariners brought up pitcher Easton
McGee from Tacoma to start instead of
Chris Flexen who is now back in bullpen.
McGee pitched a fantastic game not giving
up a hit until two outs in the seventh
inning. Certainly saved their bullpen.

Toronto score a run in the 10th inning
with the bases loaded. Final 1-0

The Mariners had six hits on the day
but the Blue Jays scored having only
three hits. Left fielder Daulton Varsho
had the most important hit of the game.

Julio had to leave the game in the sixth
inning with tightness in his back after
sliding into second base for a steal. I
wonder if Julio will have to go into
the more conventional way.  Manager
Scott Servais doesn't think it is bsd.
Have to see Sunday. The Mariners
do have Monday off too.

The Seahawks on day three drafted
three offensive and three defensive
players. I expect the best available
on their draft board.

First fourth round pick was guard
Anthony Bradford from LS U. Defensive
tackle Cameron Young out of Mississippi
State was the second pick in the fourth
round. They drafted two players from
Michigan.in the fifth round. Defensive
tackle Mike Morris and center Olusegun
Oluwatimi. The sixth round picked
safety Jerrick Reed from New Mexico.
In the final round running back Kenny
McIntosh out of Georgia

The Seahawks drafted two running
backs along with two defensive
tackles and ends. The Seahawks could
have at least three starters or more
out of this draft.

The Washington Huskies had no
players drafted however linebacker
Can Bright signed as a undrafted
college free agent. The Seahawks
have signed quite a few college
fee agents so we will see what
other familiar names come their
ways. Also where other Huskies
end up going.
