Mariners Win Kraken Lose Saturday Night

The Seattle  Mariners beat St Louis  Cardinals
5-4 Saturday  night. The Mariners  will try
to sweep the Cardinals  Sunday  afternoon.

Luis Castillo  didn't  have his best stuff
going five innings  and giving up three runs.
The Cardinals are used to seeing Luis after
facing him with the Reds.

Teoscar Hernandez  hit a two-run homer
in the sixth inning to tie the game at 3-3.
In the seventh inning Eugenio Suarez  hit
a single to put up a two run lead.

Paul Sewald  gave up a solo home run
but was able  to  record his sixth save
on the season.  Andre Munoz  is expected
to have a rehab assignment with Tacoma
and is expected back early May. Likely
Munoz will close some games on his return.

Sam Haggerty  was activated Saturday and
Cooper Hummel  was sent down to Tacoma.
For the time being  the third catcher  is on hold.

The  Kraken  tried to beat the Avalanche at
home but we not quite good enough losing
6-4. Avalanche  scored three goal to the
Kraken  one in the third period.  Trouble the
Kraken  had a lot of last season giving up
multiple  scores in the third period.

The Avalanche  now lead the series  2-1.
The 4th game will be in Seattle Monday
night. Let's see the Kraken  tie the series.
