Here we are now 2020. It is hard to believe we are starting the third decade of the 21st Century. It just seemed like this century just began.
Washington Huskies, WSU Cougars, and Gonzaga start their conference schedules this week. All hoping to make it to the NCAA tournament. Gonzaga is rated number one in the country so it would be a shock if they didn't make the tournament. Washington Huskies were predicted to be third in the Pac-12 conference behind Oregon, and Colorada. The Huskies should be considered to make the tournament for the second straight year. The Cougars, on the other hand, are not expected to make the tournament but we are hoping for the best. Wouldn't it be nice if three teams from Washington made March Madness.
The Seattle Seahawks start the playoffs in the NFL going to Philadelphia where they won during the regular season to take on the Eagles. It isn't ever easy to beat the same team twice in a season but we hope it is the case. With the win, the Seahawks likely will take on the San Francisco 49ers who have a bye for the third time on the season. Go Hawks!
The Seattle Sounders will be starting training camp soon to defend their MLS championship. We wish them the best.
The Seattle Mariners will be starting spring training in six weeks. It will be interesting to see who else they may pick up before spring training and who will be making the roster on opening day. Go M's.
