Seahawks Season Now Over

The Seattle Seahawks season ended on Sunday to the Green Bay Packers losing 28-25. This game was like most of their losses close and what might have been.

The Seahawks with injuries and having a defense that had trouble stopping a good team's offense, for the most part, had a good showing this season. What will the Seahawks do during the off-season to improve the defense? We will see, won't we?

It would have been interesting had the offense started well in the first half instead of waiting until the third quarter. This is something we have been used to all season long. Actually longer than that. It was nice they were competitive in most of their games though.

So what do the Seahawks do next? They can look at making trades but more likely in the draft.

They need to beef up the offensive line and the defensive line too. The linebackers are still the best unit of the defense. The Seahawks need improvement at the defensive back positions as well. Whether the improvement comes from current players or bringing in better players.

When it comes to the draft who do they pick in the first round?  I would look at picking the best offensive lineman, defensive lineman or cornerback. If there is an impacted player available at any of those three positions when they draft I would take him. The Seahawks need an impact player at any of those three positions.

The Seahawks need more than just depth. If there is an impact player at any of those three positions that are free agents I would go after them. I would make a trade where an impact player didn't come in either through free agency or the draft. The Seahawks won't go further without an impact player at those three spots.

Enjoy basketball and baseball while waiting for football next season. Go Hawks!
