Kyle Lewis Ready To Play Ball

Kyle Lewis won't start the season for the
Mariners, however, he is ready to get some
at bats which he will do for a minor league
team. Not sure which team as of yet.

How long he will be down in the minors
won't be sure of it yet. It will be considered
rehab assignment though. He will be dh
for most of the period. He could play the
outfield near the end of rehab or wait
until he is on the Mariners.

The Mariners likely going with four
outfielders to start the season with
six infielders and three catchers most
likely. Toro and Dylan Moore will
have opportunity to play some outfield
as well. Moore is on the team to give
JP Crawford a day off on occasion and
playing defense in the outfield. Toro
will give Frazier a day off at second,
Suarez at third and possibly France
at first though Torrens might play
first on occasion.

If Raleigh is on the roster than they
will split up the catching duties. I
would like Raliegh to catch at least
three times a week. A lot will depend
on whom the Mariners are facing.
Murphy doesn't hit righthanders
well so he most likely faces the
lefties.

It does look like Rodriguez will
be with the Mariners. The answer
should happen Sunday as the
Rainiers season starts on Tuesday
at home. Any players not making
the opening roster and going to
Tacoma should have on Sunday.

The Mariners will likely go with
ten relievers to start the season.
The rosters will have to go to
26 on May 1 so the Mariners
will have to take off two relievers
off the roster. Ken Giles will
likely return before May so
someone will have to go down
at that point. Go M's.
