Logan Gilbert and More

The Seattle  Mariners  beat the  Rangers
Wednesday  night 4-2   behind the good
pitching of Logan Gilbert.  It was his first
outing of the season  at home. We are
looking at the second ace for the Mariners
behind Robbie Ray.

Gilbert went into  the  7th inning getting
two  outs before  being relieved. Gilbert
had two outs without giving up a run.
The Rangers had  six hits against him
and struck  out four. Had no walks either.
Gilbert  leads the Mariners with an era of
0.54.

Adam Frazier  continues to  be  on fire at
the plate with three more hits. He has raised
his average  up to .294. Frazier  playing like
an all-star right now. What a great pickup
by the Mariners.

News came out  before the  game that manager
Scott Servais, third base coach Manny Acta and
reliever Paul Sewald  were out for covid symptoms.
How long any or all three  don't know.

First base coach Negron acted as manager.  He was
the manager of the  Tacoma Rainiers last season.
Seattle legend Dan Wilson was in the dugout to help
out as well.  See what happens  in the days ahead.
According to  Servais,  Mitch Haniger should be back
soon. Go M's.
