Tyler Skaggs Honored Mariners No-Hit

It was nice to see how the Angels honored their fallen teammate on Friday night, however, did the Mariners help out so much that they didn’t get a hit in the game. In fact, if Omar Narvaez hadn’t walked it would have been a perfect game.

We will miss you Tyler Skaggs. We wish you were still here to start against the Mariners. Though we would still root for our home team it would be good to see your pitching too.

I am not sure why the Mariners haven’t figured out they shouldn’t be pitching to Mike Trout. After the leadoff double, Mike Leake should have walked Trout to give a chance for a double play. The way he pitched though it wouldn’t have made a bit of difference, we don’t know that for sure.

I am sure we hope this is not a sign for the second half of the season. I wonder what has happened to Dee Gordon’s defense anyway. I wondered if he was thinking at all when looking for making a double play and dropping the ball. Not at a good time either.

On the positive side, at least the Mariner’s box score is easy to read. Just kidding by the way.

The Mariners haven’t announced who will be pitching on Saturday night so I expect they will be going with the opener followed by Wade LeBlanc. Sunday Yusei Kikuchi is scheduled to pitch. Oh, by the way, the good news Kikuchi and his wife had a son born over the all-star break. You can’t have a better all-star break for sure.

Now we have to keep our chins up. I hope the Mariners do the same. It would be nice to win as many or close to as losses. Have a great day and until next time.
