Can Mariners Look Not To Be Swept

The Seattle Mariners lost again on Saturday 9-2 against the Angels in Anaheim. Not a great start after the all-star break. At least they scored two runs and had six hits.

Wade LeBlanc started Saturday night’s game after going seven games where he came in for the opener. The Mariners should look to begin with the opener once again since LeBlanc does better when they use one. He gave up 10 hits, six runs going four innings.

The bullpen did a good job outside of David McKay who gave up a three-run homer to Albert Pujols. Earlier Kole Calhoun and Mike Trout had home runs off of LeBlanc. Almost every series the Mariners play against the Angels all three of them get at least one home run. Mike Trout homered two games in a row. By this point, the Mariners should know not to pitch to those three. They feast of Mariner pitching.

Yusei Kikuchi goes Sunday afternoon for the Mariners. We hope he is able to pitch well enough for the Mariners to win and not get swept. Also, it would be nice not to give up a home run to Trout.

I am sure everyone is looking for when Dipoto pulls a trigger on a trade. The trading deadline is in 17 days. I expect at least one trade if not more. The big three being traded would be Mike Leake, Tim Beckham, and Dee Gordon. They could trade Roenis Elias who might have his highest value right now. So trader Jerry pull your magic wand. Go M’s.
