Seattle Kraken and Mariner Updates

The Seattle Kraken won two games in a row beating the Florida Panthers 4-1 and the Buffalo Sabres 7-4 in a high scoring affair. On Wednesday the Kraken lost in overtime 4-3 to the Detroit
Red Wings. All three games were on the road.
The Kraken come home on Friday night to take
on the Edmonton Oilers. It will not be an easy
game to win. The Kraken right now are 8-13-2.

On Wednesday major league baseball went  on
lockout. We won't likely hear any baseball news
for a while unless they get to a new agreement
earlier.

Max Scherzer now of the New York Mets signing
a large contract said the players don't like the lack
of competition because of several teams rebuilding
such as the Seattle Mariners. So veteran players
that are not superstars were losing their jobs.
Scherzer should not be one to talk about that.
Also, several players who are on the players union
sub-committee signed large contracts to.

I don't know about the other teams that are rebuilding
Jerry Dipoto and the Mariners realized they likely
would not make the playoffs with the current roster
back in 2018. They won 89 games that year but under
.500 after the all-star break. Having an older club
Dipoto felt it was time to make the changes.

Two players Dipoto traded were Robinson Cano and
Mike Zunino who I last seen are still playing in the
major leagues though Cano did not play in 2021 for
 being suspended once again.

The Mariners have gone from the worst farm system
to one of the top two in baseball. This should be good
news instead of these high salary players who think
they are standing up for the middle salary players. If
you are so concerned don't make as much money so
other players can make more money. Other words
get off your high horse.

I guess this means we have to write about the
winter sports as where the Mariners will go this
coming  season. Hopefully this will be resolved
sooner then later.
