and Washington Huskies have had I am
sure many still want to think about the
Mariners though they are in a lockout.
I figure do look at both. More the
Huskies than the Seahawks today since
I wrote about Seahawks this week.
I am sure the Mariners are still looking
to go after additional pitching in the
starting rotation. I was reading on one
of my social media sites someone
suggested Sonny Gray. Not a bad choice
he is just turned 32. He had an era just
over 4 this last season. His record was
7-9 on the Cincinnati Reds.
Sonny Gray would be a number three
starter for the Mariners. So what would
you give up for him? I am sure the Reds
would like some pitching prospects. I
would go for a couple prospects between
#11 and #20 along with another #20 thru
#30. The Reds could look for a major
league player as well. Since the Mariners
have extra outfielders maybe send Jake
Fraley. I like Fraley, however, with Julio
Rodriguez about ready to be on the team
whether out of spring training or a month
into it. I am sure the Reds still would want
a prospect to go with him so may be a
middle prospect.
Switching to college football the Huskies
have done a couple assistant coaches
hirings with more to come. They did lose
a commit in quarterback Jackson Stratton.
With Sam Huard most likely to start or
Dylan Morris if he stays around being
the number 3 quarterback at best doesn't
sound appealing. Maybe Stratton feels
he would do better in another offense
than DeBoer's. I am sure he talked to
the Huskies new head coach and why
he made the decision he did.
The Huskies have 8 sure commits going
into December 15 early signing. We see
what they add on that day. The Huskies
need to add more incoming defense
players for the 2022 freshman.
Keep an eye on the Huskies well as
the Seahawks and the Mariners. It
will be busy when the lockout is over
whenever that happens. I hope in
January. You figure it is holiday season
so don't know how often if at all they
meet this month.
