Mariners Beat Angels Again

The Mariners beat the Angels
9-3 to have a minisweep and
win the seventh series in a roe.

The Mariners offense is still
doing the job getting runs early
and having a big inning even
late in the game.

The Angels scored a run in the
first inning than the Mariners
scored two in the second. The
game was tied at 3-3 until the
seventh when the Mariners
scored six. Arozarena  had a
solo home run in the second.

The Mariners played small
ball in the seventh. Leo Rivas
had a big game and getting
two hits in the seventh. He led
off with a single then Samad
Taylor in his first start after
being called up put down a
bunt single. JP had a single to
drive in them both. Julio had
a double to drive in JP. Cal
had a single to drive in Julio.
Arozarena had another hit.
After a couple outs Rivas
had his second hit of the
inning hitting hard off the
first baseman scoring scoring
Cal and Arozarena.

Though Williamson didn't
get a hit the bottom of the
order has done done a fine
job in recent games.

Emerson Hancock started
and went six innings though
not as good as his previous
start he kept the team in
the game giving up the
three runs on nine hits. The
three relievers who went
shut the door only allowing
one hit and a walk in the
three innings of pitching.

This game allowed Andre
Munoz not having to pitch.
The Mariners have Thursday
off so if the Mariners have
to use Munoz on Friday in
Texas he has the two days
off.

The Mariners brought up
outfielder Rhylan Thomas
from Tacoma. Luke Raley
is expected to miss six
weeks. Thomas is a left
handed bat so we will
see him and Taylor a
righty we should see these
two to platoon at least until
Dylan Moore comes off the
injured list next week.

Bryan Woo is scheduled to
start on Friday against the
Rangers. Luis Castillo most
likely on Saturday and Logan
Evans on Sunday. Woo's last
start was last Thursday so
a lot of rest. Castillo and
Evans will be a week apart.
The day off Monday and
this Thursday giving the
starters good rest. Help
them all. Go M's.

Another Win For Mariners

The last six series the Mariners
lost the first game than won
the two remaining games in
each.

Tuesday night the Mariners beat
the LA Angels 5-3.

Bryce Miller pitched five innings.
He gave up only two hits and walked
five. He didn't give up a run.
Collin Snider came in the sixth
and gave up a hit. Carlos Vargas
gave up a run in the seventh.
Gabe Speier gave up two runs
in the eighth. Second outing
giving up runs after none before
then. I hope he doesn't have an
injury however it wouldn't surprise
me. Again Andre Munoz took care
of the ninth.

Jorge Polanco who was player of
the week keeps his hot hitting.
He had two home runs and drove
in all five runs. We hope when he
cools down he still continues
hitting.

The Mariners and Angels play
Wednesday afternoon in second
of a two game series. Emerson
Hancock will start. Go M's.

Luke Raley hurt himself  in
batting cage so he missed
the game. We will have to
see whether he will have to
go on the injured list or be
day to day. So Wednesday
a day game won't be surprised
if he is out for that game as a
caution..

Huskies Men's Basketball Transfer Portal News and More

Tge Washington Huskies men's basketball team took a hit on this
coming season recruiting class.
Incoming freshman and McDonald
All-American power forward Niko
Bundalo has decided to enter the
transfer portal after committing
to the Huskies back last November.

Probably the main reason is the
Huskies signed two power forward a
since his commitment. He may feel
that he won't get the playing time
he anticated when signing with the
Huskies. This could be true and his
agent or coaches may have spoken
those words to him.

The NCAA needs to make some
rules in regarding to the transfer
portal and incoming freshmen
recruits.  I have mentioned before
that when a player leaves a team
they shouldn't be allowed to play
for a team in the same conference.
Schools should not go after players
as well. If the player seeks out a
school that makes sense. I believe
a player can only accept from one
school during the year. Other words
he can't change his mind. The only
exception is that the coach gets
fired or leaves for another job. If
the coach gets fired and is hired
elsewhere the player can follow to
that school. If the coach leaves
the player can to but not to the
school the coach goes to for a
year anyway. Those are not the
rules now but my opinion.

Tuesday Dylan Moore went on
the injured list for ten days for
a hip injury. The Mariners have
brought up Samal Taylor from
triple A Tacoma. He most likely
play against lefties in right field
though he has played some
infield as well. Miles Mastrobuioni
is the top utility player now though
he hits from the left side. He and
Leo Rivas will likely share second
base and he may play third base
against some righties. It looks
like Dylan won't be gone long
since retroactive to March 26.

The Mariners have a short series
having two games at home Tuesday
and Wednesday. The Mariners go
for three games beginning Friday
At Texas Rangers then the A's at
Sacramento before coming back
home for two series against
Toronto and the New York Yankees.

Bryce Miller will start Tuesday nights
game against the Angel. Emerson
Hancock will start the second game
on Wednesday afternoon.

Jorge Polanco was named player
of the week in the American League.
The Mariners are now in first place.
Go M's.

Mariners Minor Leaguers

We have already seen a few of
the fruits of the fruits of the
minor leaguers because of
injuries to there major league
players.

The Tacoma Rainiers are now
11-16 and 3-7 in their last ten
games. Logan Evans the top
pitcher for them made his
major league debut on Sunday
and recorded a victory.

Tyler Locklear has been hot
lately now hitting .333. The
first baseman could be called
up anytime if the position
continues to be an issue.
Harry Ford is hitting .220.
It would be nice if his average
was higher which it could be
if he were playing more often.

Samad Taylor continues to hit
well at .321 and leads the Rainers
with five home runs. He mainly
is playing the outfield though
he can play the infield too.

Matt Brash continues his rehab
assignment at Tacoma. He has
pitched  in five games so far. The
Rainiers will be going on the
road this week after being at home
this last week. They will be playing
at Las Vegas. We see whether Brash
will go with the Rainers or be called
up to the Mariners.

The Arkansas Travelers are at top
of their league with a record of
14-7.  Outfielder Jared Sundstrom
leads them with an average of
.294. They are not a home run
hitting team as he leads with two.
Center fielder Billy Knight has
a .286 batting average and leads
with ten stolen bases.

In the pitching department Garrett
Hill has an era of 1.09 in four starts
and Adam Seminaries has 1.47
in same amount of starts. Neither
has pitched a lot of innings. The
strength is in the bullpen where
five have had outstanding seasons
so far with three not given up an
earned run yet.

The Everett Aqua Sox are still
at slow start with 8-13 record.
Top prospect Colt Emerson
is hitting .273. Still looking for
his first home run of the season.
Lazaro Montes is hitting .250
with five home runs and 14 RBIs.
He has 18 walks.

Last year's number one pick
Jurrangelo Cijntje has pitched
in six games with four starts.
Throwing both ways he has
pitched right handed primarily
in his four starts while throwing
left handed in his two relief
appearances. He has gone 17
innings total giving up ten hits
with three being home runs.
He has walked 13 while striking
out 22. The opposing team
batting average is .167. He throws
around 96 miles an hour on average
from both sides.

Reliever Tyler Cleveland in seven
relief appearances hasn't given
up a single earned run yet. He has
walked four while striking out
ten in 11.1 innings. The Mariners
are showing they have some good
relievers in the minor leagues.

The Modesto Nuts continue to
do well at low A class having a
15-6 record.

Second round pick from 2024
Ryan Sloan coming  out of high
school has started three games.
He is being pitched carefully
going only 8.1 innings so far.
He has four walks and 12 strike
outs.

The Mariners number two
shortstop prospect Felnin
Celesten continues to do
well hitting .343. When
Emerson moves up to
double A then Celesten will
move up to Everett.

The Mariners have Monday
and Thursday off this week.
We will update this again
next week.

Mariner Win Another Series

Tge Seattle Mariners win their sixth
series in a row. It hss been interesting since they lost the first game in a
series.

Final Mariners 7 Marlins 6

The Mariners got a big lead then
Trent Thornton gave up a three-run
homer in the eight inning.  Not
sure why he has been pitching
that inning since has had trouble
giving up homers. He has an era
of 7.71 on the season. He did
the same in Boston.

Logan Evans went five  innings
in his major league debut giving
up two runs. Able to get the win.

Jorge Polanco continues to hit
having three hits. Cal hit another
homer run and JP Crawford hit
another key homer.

The Mariners have Monday off
before facing the Angels on
Tuesday at home. Go M's

Seattle Seahawks Undrafted Free Agents

The Seattle Seahawks signed
eleven players after the draft
was over as free agents. Five
on offense and six on defense.

None of the names are familiar
though a few from the Big Ten.
On offense they signed a running
back, wide receiver, tight end, center
and tackle. All positions they
drafted  except center. See how
much of a chance to make it.

On defense they signed three
edge rushers, a linebacker and
two cornerbacks. The best chance
is being on the practice squad
however one or two could make
the team though a long shot.

Unlike last season Carson Bruener
was the only  draft from the
 Huskies by the Pittsburgh Steelers
at linebacker. His best chance for
Bruener is on special teams. Kyle
Williams was the only Washington
State Cougar by the New England
Patriots at wide receiver in third
round.

A few Washington players who playedi
were drafted. Wide receiver Emeka
Egbuka from Ohio State and Steilacoom high school in the first
round by Tampa Bay. Josh Conerly Jr.
offensive lineman from Oregon was
drafted by Washington Commanders
in the first round.

JT Tuimoloau edge rusher from Ohio
State and Eastside Catholic was🤗😉00 drafted by Indianapolis Colts  in the
third round.

That is it for lp

Mariners Shutout Marlins Easily

The Seattle Mariners took care of
the Marlins easily Saturday night.
Final Mariners 14  Msrlins 0

Thr game started out with Julio
and Polanco hitting back to back
home runs. By the time the first
Winning was over the Mariners had scored six runs. In the fourth
inning Polanco hit his second
home run of the game. Later
on Mitch Garver pinch hit for
Cal And hit his first home run
with one run on base.

Rookie Ben Williamson and
Miles Mastrobuoni each had
two hits. Williamson drove in
four runs while Mastrobuoni
had three. I all the recent
series where the Mariners
came back after losing the
first game we will see if
the Mariners can do it again.

Luis Castillo went six innings
giving up only one hit. He
walked two and struck out
five batters. He looked much
better in this outing.Troy
Taylor who was called up
pitched the seventh inning.
He gave up a hit and that
was it.He was followed by
Casey Legumina who gave
up one hit. Much better than
his last. Tayler Saucedo who
came in the ninth to finish.

The Mariners have called up
Logan Evans to start on Sunday.
This will give the starters an
addition days off. The Mariners
will have another day off on
.Monday. This will give the 😁
Mariners additional  time off.
Go M's.
