Mariners Minor Leaguers

We have already seen a few of
the fruits of the fruits of the
minor leaguers because of
injuries to there major league
players.

The Tacoma Rainiers are now
11-16 and 3-7 in their last ten
games. Logan Evans the top
pitcher for them made his
major league debut on Sunday
and recorded a victory.

Tyler Locklear has been hot
lately now hitting .333. The
first baseman could be called
up anytime if the position
continues to be an issue.
Harry Ford is hitting .220.
It would be nice if his average
was higher which it could be
if he were playing more often.

Samad Taylor continues to hit
well at .321 and leads the Rainers
with five home runs. He mainly
is playing the outfield though
he can play the infield too.

Matt Brash continues his rehab
assignment at Tacoma. He has
pitched  in five games so far. The
Rainiers will be going on the
road this week after being at home
this last week. They will be playing
at Las Vegas. We see whether Brash
will go with the Rainers or be called
up to the Mariners.

The Arkansas Travelers are at top
of their league with a record of
14-7.  Outfielder Jared Sundstrom
leads them with an average of
.294. They are not a home run
hitting team as he leads with two.
Center fielder Billy Knight has
a .286 batting average and leads
with ten stolen bases.

In the pitching department Garrett
Hill has an era of 1.09 in four starts
and Adam Seminaries has 1.47
in same amount of starts. Neither
has pitched a lot of innings. The
strength is in the bullpen where
five have had outstanding seasons
so far with three not given up an
earned run yet.

The Everett Aqua Sox are still
at slow start with 8-13 record.
Top prospect Colt Emerson
is hitting .273. Still looking for
his first home run of the season.
Lazaro Montes is hitting .250
with five home runs and 14 RBIs.
He has 18 walks.

Last year's number one pick
Jurrangelo Cijntje has pitched
in six games with four starts.
Throwing both ways he has
pitched right handed primarily
in his four starts while throwing
left handed in his two relief
appearances. He has gone 17
innings total giving up ten hits
with three being home runs.
He has walked 13 while striking
out 22. The opposing team
batting average is .167. He throws
around 96 miles an hour on average
from both sides.

Reliever Tyler Cleveland in seven
relief appearances hasn't given
up a single earned run yet. He has
walked four while striking out
ten in 11.1 innings. The Mariners
are showing they have some good
relievers in the minor leagues.

The Modesto Nuts continue to
do well at low A class having a
15-6 record.

Second round pick from 2024
Ryan Sloan coming  out of high
school has started three games.
He is being pitched carefully
going only 8.1 innings so far.
He has four walks and 12 strike
outs.

The Mariners number two
shortstop prospect Felnin
Celesten continues to do
well hitting .343. When
Emerson moves up to
double A then Celesten will
move up to Everett.

The Mariners have Monday
and Thursday off this week.
We will update this again
next week.
