Baseball Post Season

The Washington Nationals beating the Houston Astros in seven games was a surprise I am sure to most except possibly the Nationals. The first time the road team won all seven games. Now we can discuss Hot Stove.

Felix Hernandez is now a free agent. He likely will sign a minor league deal with a team. Ryon Healy has decided to be a free agent as well. Not a big surprise there either. It was too bad the Mariners couldn't wait to see if they could get something for him though probably would have been little.

Jerry Dipoto will be busy again this off-season though he won't make as many big trades as last season. Most deals the Mariners will make should be minor deals. They will probably make one big trade along the way. With the Mariners expected to play youngers I see the Mariners trading either or both Mallex Smith and Domingo Santana who each had disappointing seasons at least defensively. The question is what they will get for either one. Most likely they will get a prospect or two for them.

Now time for us to put on our thinking caps to see who we think the Mariners will trade and get in return.  Go M's.
