Washington Schools Win Thursday Night

The Washington State Cougars men's basketball team started the night upsetting the nationally ranked Oregon Ducks Thursday night. The game was close most of the night then the Cougars went on a good run to close out the game-winning 72-61. The Cougars won primarily because of their outstanding defense.

The Washington Huskies won to at home against the Oregon State Beavers 64-56. This was without freshman standout Jaden McDaniels out with an ankle injury. RaeQuan Battle another freshman started in his place scoring 11 points all in the first half. He didn't play very much in the second half because of cramps.

The Huskies duo at guards Marcus Tsohonis and Jamel Bey had an outstanding night each scoring 11 points. Tsohonis handled the ball well without being raddled at all.

Number one ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs demolished Santa Clara at home 104-54. There isn't much more you can say in such a lopsided win. Gonzaga will take on BYU on Saturday.

The Huskies will take on Oregon Saturday afternoon while the Cougars will play the OSU Beavers. They both hope to take the series against the two Oregon schools.
