on Seattle Times website.
Another thing he could get $52 million
his first year if he meets incentives.
Nothing is sure how much is quaranteed.
How much toward the salary cap. You
have to figure though he does get the
$105 million that means $35 million
per year. Most likely his cap amount
will be lower the first year and go up
from there.
Say Geno gets the $52 million the first
year it will likely be spread over the
three years. Being no expert on the
salary cap this only makes sense.
Whatever the case a lot of money
for a quarterback or alone any player
having one good season.
The Seahawks have made mistakes on
other players like safety Jamal Adams..
Right now it is hard to know whether they
bring Jamal back or not after his injury.
Signing Geno they will have to make some
cuts since they will tight against the cap.
Though he is labeled as a safety Jamal
could lineup elsewhere as he has done
before. As we know the linebacker spot
is short so we could see him lineup there.
The Seahawks will probably draft an edge
rusher, however at times Jamal could lineup
there too. A lot might depend on how much
speed he has lost.
A reason to cut bait with Jamal besides salary
is what kind of shape he is right now. Did he
get through rehab fine or not. We will find out.
There is a chance the Seahawks may draft a
quarterback as well. What round who knows
this will depend whether a franchise one is
available at any of the spots. We have to figure
one will be at number 5 in the first round but
better then any defensive player the Seahawks
