Gilbert didn't give up a walk and struck
out six. If he does anything like this
during the season and going six innings
most of the time with seven on occasion
he and the Mariners will have a lot of wins.
The only pitcher besides Logan pitching
in this win against Royals 8-6 to be on the
opening roster was Paul Sewald who
went one inning. Emerson Hancock
who might begin in double A went two
innings giving up two runs. We will see
him sometime this year I expect just
like George Kirby last year and Gilbert
the year before.
Minor Leaguer Colin Moran who played third base had a couple hits. The only
Mariner did in this game. Jarred Kelenic
had a hit and drove in a run. Wouldn't be
great if he becomes the player the
Mariners were hoping when they got
him from.the Mets.
Both Tom Murphy and Cooper Hummel
each had a hit. Murphy drove in a run
while Hummel scored a run. Murphy
will be the backup catcher while Hummel
might make the last roster spot as
the fifth outfielder and third catcher.
Harry Ford Mariners top prospect is
having a good World Baseball Classic.
has hit two home runs for Great Britain.
Also, has hit a double in his first at
bat Tuesday against Mexico. A lot
of children in Great Britain know who
Ford is. Look forward to the day a lot
of people in Seattle will know the
same.
Seahawks running back Rasaad Penny
signed a free agent contract with the
Philadelphia Eagles. Former Seahawk
Jarren Reed is expected to sign and be
a Seahawk once again. He had been
with KC Chiefs. Tell you who else
may sign with the Seahawks.
