Looking At College Sports In the Future

Just like our lives sports will look different in the future.
This could really be true for college sports for sure.

So far major colleges like Washington and Washington State
haven't cancelled some of their sports for the future as of yet
while smaller colleges have.

Whether it is the right thing to do or not we will see for
sure as well.

Football and basketball should still be around for most
colleges though for the smaller schools who may have
found football was already not profitable may decide
to hang up the cleats. Basketball doesn't have as much
cost to run the program so it will likely survive, however,
some schools may feel forced to cancel them as well.

Though these sports may still hang on the recruiting of
players may look different in the future. Actually they
may look like what has been going on over the last few
months.

It wouldn't surprise me if coaches will spend more time
with perspective athletes  on line or video conferencing.
The top players they feel to still get into their program
they may get back to traveling to meet in person.

How we see sports on television could change as well.
The networks may decide to use less cameras and they
may not go with a sideline reporter either.

Only time will tell for the answers. Sport stadiums may
no longer be filled to capacity for a while either beyond
this coming season.

There is a good chance no fans in the stands or at least
limited fans anyway. Fans could decide stayng home
watching games on television may be the best avenue.

We have to remember fans are in the same predicament
as schools and sport  teams looking to cut costs since
they may not have the same money coming in either.

All things to look forward too.
