Seahawks Sign Veteran Running Back

Reports came out the Seattle Seahawks have signed
veteran running Carlos Hyde to a one-year contract
for about $4 million.

Hyde has been in the NFL for the last six seasons.
He played four years for the San Francisco 49ers.
Last year with the Houston Texans her ran for over
one thousand yards.

The Seahawks with injuries at the end of last
season to Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny
they decided they need a presence of a veteran
running back. Penny might have to sit out half
of the coming season.

The Seahawks do have Travis Homer who should
some good running skills at the end of last season
when Penny and Carson went down. At this point
though not sure he can carry the ball 20 times or
more. Also, any injuries happen to Homer would
put the Seahawks in a pickle.

This will give the Seahawks three healthy experienced
running backs plus rookie fourth round pick DeeJay
Dallas.

Earlier in the week the Seahawks re-signed up veteran
quarterback Geno Smith to a one-year deal. He was
the Seahawks backup quarterback last year to Russell
Wilson. Coach Pete Carroll likes his presence because
he knows how to  run the offense just in case Wilson
gets hurt for any period of time though he hasn't missed
a game in his NFL career. Go Hawks!
