In the last two weeks Isaiah Stewart and Jaden
McDaniels of the Washington Huskies decided
to go to the NBA after their freshmen seasons
as suspected.
McDaniels was a local player out of Federal
Way now another one from Tacoma Bellarmine
High School Malachi Flynn had decided to
declare for the NBA draft which takes place
on June 25. Malachi is a junior at San Diego
State where he averaged 17.6 points a game
this last season along with 4.5 rebounds and
5.1 assists per game.
The San Diego State Aztecs had a very good
season winning their Mountain West conference
going 30-2 including winning their first 26 games
of the season. Flynn was the starting point guard
on the team. He was named All-American along
with being Mountain West player of the year.
Malachi Flynn started his college career with
the Washington State Cougars then setting out
a year while transferring to San Diego State.
He is projected to be a second round pick.
Had Flynn stayed another year at San Diego
State he could have moved up to the first round
but you never know what will happen. It is
best to take your chances when you have it.
We wish Flynn his very best.
I write about local sports however, you can view another of my blogs which I write about life at http://lookatlifepurpose.com
