Seahawks Move Up in Second Round

Many fans along with the media thought the Seattle
Seahawks would pick a defensive end in the first
round instead went for linebacker Jordyn Brooks
out of Texas Tech.

On Friday the Seahawks moved up making a trade
with the New York Jets acquiring their second round
pick #48 overall then selecting  Darrell Taylor defensive
end out of Tennessee. The Jets got the Seahawks first
second round along with the 3rd round pick. The
Seahawks though still have the other 2nd round
pick #64 overall.

The Seahawks will have two fourth round pick on
Saturday along with a sixth round pick. I wouldn't
be surprised if the Seahawks pick up another draft
pick another the way.

Darrell Taylor was listed as a linebacker by Tennessee
however the Seahawks are looking to use him at
defensive end. He could be used a lot like Bruce
Irvin who recently returned to Seattle this coming
season.Taylor led Tennessee with 8.5 sacks on the
season.

Not too many players from the northwest or the
Pac-12 so far have been picked. After two players
taken in round one two more players were taken right
after Seattle from the northwest. Chase Claypool
played at Notre Dame came from Abbottsford,
British Columbia, Canada was drafted by the
Pittsburgh Steelers then right after him was
Jaylon Johnson cornerback out of Utah was
drafted by the Chicago Bears.

No Washington Huskies or Washington State
Cougars players have been drafted yet.
Stay tuned.
