The Seattle Seahawks signed two local college
players on Saturday after the draft in quarterback
Anthony Gordon from Washington State and
wide receiver/punt return Aaron Fuller of
Washington.
The Seahawks had only one quarterback on
the roster going into the draft in Russell Wilson
so only made sense to sign a college free agent
or draft one which they didn't.
Aaron Fuller's best chance is to make the
Seahawks as the punt returner; however,
it is likely he will start the season on the
taxi squad.
Though the Seahawks haven't made a
formal announcement yet DJ Fluker on
Twitter said that he wasn't returning so
the Seahawks are releasing him along
with center Justin Britt. Both players
are casualty hits of the salary cap.
Going into the draft the Seahawks had
eighteen players on the offensive line
then they drafted guard Damien Lewis
from LSU. So not a big surprise that
Fluker is being released. Britt on the
other hand had an injury during last
season so the Seahawks decided to
release him to save a good amount
of salary.
On Wednesday we will look at more
news may come on Seahawk Wednesday.
Go Hawks!
