Seahawks Get Their Man

Usually we have to wait a day to see who
the Seattle Seahawks select in the draft,
however, for the first time in a long time
the Seahawks got who they think is their
man.

The Seahawks had the #27 pick in the
first round. Most rightfully figured they
would trade down the pick getting an
additional pick as well.

This time they picked going for Jordan
Brooks inside linebacker from Texas
Tech When describing Brooks ESPN
sounded like they were talking about
Bobby Wagner Seahawks middle
linebacker.

We can say then Brooks will learn from
one of the best. Last season Brooks had
twenty tackles for loss. The Seahawks I
am sure believe he will help in that area.
Most likely he will start playing on the
outside since he has speed as well. Of
course, we never know of injuries so
he can always move back inside if
necessary.

Most experts figured the Seahawks
picking in the spot they would go for
an offensive or defensive lineman.
The Seahawks have two picks in the
second round which will take place on
Friday.

The Seahawks probably feel they can
pick up a lineman on either side of the
ball in the second round. They could
get both; however, they could pick a
running back in one of those spots as
well.

As of now the Seahawks have four
picks on Saturday with one in round
three, two in round four and one in
round six. It wouldn't surprise me if
the Seahawks pick up at least one more
pick.

Depending how things look they could
trade down in the second round with
one of the two picks.

When it comes to players from the
northwest Justin Herbert quarterback
from Oregon was taken #6 by the
Los Angeles Charges. Not only did
Herbert play at Oregon he grew up
only a few blocks from the teams
stadium. His family only had to
walk to the team's home games.

Only two other player's from the
Pac-12 were taken after Herbert.
Had a wait a little while to hear
their names called. At #18 the
Miami Dolphins with their number
two pick of the first round took
USC offensive lineman Austin
Jackson.

The third player taken from the
Pac-12 was ASU's Brandon Aiyuk
wide receiver by the San Francisco
49ers. So as Seahawk fans we will
see him play twice a season.

The second round will begin just
after 4 pm. So will let you know
how the Seahawks do tonight.
