losing to the Tigers maybe because
they are fierce. lol
The Mariners lost Tuesday night
for the fourth time in a row this
season in the first game of the
series 5-3.
The Mariners had their opportunities
throughout the game to win with
many runners on base but couldn't
get them home.
The Mariners had eight hits in the
game. JP Crawford continues to be
hot having three hits and Taylor
Trammell had two as well. Neither
one ended up scoring though.
Trammell had a double driving in
Shed Long Jr who had a double
himself in his first appearance this
season for the Mariners.
Seattle's own Matthew Boyd pitched
for the Tigers going six innings giving
up one run on six hits. Also, walked
one and struck out three. Shed Long
Jr and Taylor Trammell doubles were
the only extra base hits of the game.
The Mariners got two more runs in
the eighth inning of reliever Joe
Jimenez. Though they had runners
on base they couldn't get anymore
runs across.
Chris Flexen will start for the Mariners
on Wednesday night. The Mariners
need for him to do a better job then
in his last couple outings.
The Mariners brought up Dillon Thomas
outfielder from Tacoma. They released
catcher Jacob Nottingham. Until Evan
White gets back Ty France will be the
primary first baseman.
Marco Gonzales struggled early giving
up three runs in the first followed by
another in the second before he settled
down. Marco went four innings throwing
71 pitches giving up four runs on five
hits while walking one and striking out
two. The Mariners are hoping he will
go at least five innings in his next start.
