It looked good until the seventh inning when the Rockies scored a run in the fourth inning and then Jean Segura hit a home run in the fifth inning to tie the game. In the seventh inning with two runs on base James Paxton threw a slider that Noel Cuevas hit that brought in three runs to make the score 4-1 that pretty well ended the chance for the Mariners to win the game. The Rockies scored another run in the top of the ninth to end it at 5-1.
Today (Sunday) the name of who will be on the All-Star team will be named. Until this game Paxton had a pretty good chance of making the team however with losing and a record of 8-3 it will be less likely he will be named to the team. Jean Segura and Edwin Diaz have the best chance of making the team. Actually Diaz should be a shoe-in.
Today Wade LeBlanc pitches to see if the Mariners can win one game in this series before going on the road to Los Angeles and Colorado. We hope that the Mariners can bounce back now. Go M's.
