Seahawk Wednesday

The Seattle Seahawks brass of John Schneider general manager
and his brass are in Indianapolis this week at the NFL combine
to look at the players they maybe interested this week.

At the same time Schneider is looking at negotiating with defensive
end Jadeveon Clowney. He is expected to be asking for more than
$20 million per year. The Seahawks look like they are willing to
pay him that kind of contract. It is the kind of contract they were
not willing to give Frank Clark last year. The difference though
Clowney is a free agent who can go anywhere while Clark the
Seahawks were able to trade him to the Kansas City Chiefs
getting seven players in return.

The Seahawks are hoping to bring back Jarran Reed  defensive
tackle as well as tight end Luke Willson. Reed could be hard to
sign because another team may come out with a higher offer than
the Seahawks want to pay out. Willson on the other hand will
be sign inexpensively. We will see in the weeks ahead who the
Seahawks retain and who they lose along with other pickups.

In baseball the Seattle Mariners beat the Milwaukee Brewers
on Tuesday 2-1. Kelly Graveman started going two innings
gave up one hit, one walk, and no walks. He was followed
by Justus Sheffield going to two innings as well. Sheffield
could be the Mariners third starter. He gave no hits, runs, and
struck out three batters. A good way for both of them in their
first outing of the season.

The game was scoreless until the seventh inning when the
Mariners scored two runs then the Brewers came back in
the bottom of the inning with one run. Daniel Vogelbach
playing first base had a couple games while Evan White
at dh had a couple hits as well. Jarred Kelenic had a hit and
scored a run in the game.

The Mariners are playing the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
Justin Dunn made his spring training debut.
