The Seattle Seahawks beat rival San Francisco 49ers
on Sunday November 1 at home 37-27.
The game was close in the first half the Seahawks
leading 13-7 on two touchdowns by DK Metcalf.
The 49ers had the first possession of the second
half, however, the Seahawks defense were able
to stop them so they had to punt.
The first possession of the second half the Seahawks
were able to score a touchdown on nine plays.
Rookie running back DeeJay Dallas scored his first
career touchdown on a two-yard pass from Russell
Wilson.
The 49ers ended up fumbling the ball on the kick off
where the Seahawks recovered the fumble. The
Seahawks scored on the sixth play of the drive on
a touchdown pass for six yards by David Moore
from Russell Wilson making the score 27-7.
The Seahawks ended up kicking a 48 yard field goal
by Meyers near the beginning of the 4th quarter making
it 30-7.
49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had to leave the
game so he was replaced by backup QB Nick Mullens.
The 49ers ended up scoring on the fourteen play of the
drive on a running play making it 30-14. Mullens threw
11 passes during that drive.
The Seahawks were not able to go far having to punt
after six plays. The 49ers got the ball back after the
ball went into the end zone.
It took the 49ers six plays to go down the field to score
a touchdown to make it an interesting game They attempted
a two-point conversion but was not converted after a
replay was shown as it was ruled a conversion before hand.
This made the score 30-20.
The 49ers tried an onside kick however, the Seahawks
recovered the ball. Will Dissly recovered the ball on the
San Francisco's 47 yard line. It took the Seahawks eight
plays to score another touchdown. DeeJay Dallas ran
for a yard to make his first running touchdown of his
career after scoring on a pass earlier for his first touchdown
of his career.
The 49ers would not give up scoring another touchdown
on the 8th play of the drive making Seattle 37 San Francisco 27.
Russell Wilson completed 27 passes on 37 attempts for 261
yards and four touchdowns. Receiver DK Metcalf led the
Seahawks with 12 receptions 161 yards and two touchdowns.
DeeJay Dallas led the Seahawks in rushing with 41 yards.
On the defensive side Bobby Wagner led the Seahawks with
11 tackles including two sacks. The Seahawks now go next
Sunday to Buffalo to take on the Bills. Go Hawks!
The 49ers tried another onside kick since it was the only chance
they had to win the game however the Seahawks recovered this
one as well. The Seahawks ran out the clock.
Another good victory by the Seahawks thought the defense
again showed they need more help. They did improvement
on rushing the quarterback. Much of San Francisco's passing
yardage happened when they were down.
