general manager Jerry Dipoto and the
Seattle Mariners concerning trades or
free agency.
With Covid-19 going up again, at least
it is what we are being told anyway it
won't be easy to do the free agency bit
right now.
I am sure Dipoto has a few ideas up his
sleeve in free agency well as in trades.
We do know the Mariners will likely
go after at least one starting pitcher along
with the bullpen.
I am sure we can agree the Mariners will
probably try to re-sign Taijuan Walker who
they traded to Toronto at the deadline.
Position players I would like to see another
outfielder on the team. Rookie of the year
Kyle Lewis is the only real thing right now.
Mitch Haniger was added back to the 40-
man roster but how healthy is he really.
If he is able to go likely be in right field.
This means a left fielder needed. They do
have a few candidates on the roster and we
look at that at another time.
On the infield the Mariners need a second
baseman. Will it be Dylan Moore who had
a good season or will Shed Long rebound
from a bad rookie season. The Mariners
could go out and get a second baseman too.
I would say not a high priority at this moment
but might be possible.
So we will see over the next few weeks how
Jerry Dipoto does on the market. Go M's.
