Suarez Wins Friday Night Game

Eugenio Suarez isn't exactly Kyle
Seager in the field though he has
done a solid job. I am sure better
than we expected.

Suarez made a throwing error in
the sixth inning allowing the Texas
Rangers tie the game. It cost Logan Gilbert the opportunity to record
the victory. Suarez made up for it
by hitting a go ahead and winning
two run homer in the ninth inning.

Now Suarez leads the Mariners in home runs with ten. Oh by the way
Gilbert went six innings with only
only one earned run with the other
being the error on Suarez. The Rangers took the lead 3-2 in the seventh before
Suarez winning home run making the
final 4-3.

Cal Raleigh hit a home run in the fifth
inning giving the Mariners their second
run at the time. Raleigh had two of the
Mariners five hits. I hope this means
he has figured out major league pitching. Having Raleigh behind the
plate more often would be nice if
his hitting continues as it has recently.

Taylor Trammel had a hit in the game
as well. I recommend the Mariners not
pinch hitting for him against lefties. If they want to start Dylan Moore against
lefties fine so that way he is available
to pinch hut later in the game fine but
not pinch hitting for him. The bench
is weak so when he doesn't start it
makes better having Trammel off
the bench.

Look recently at the Mariners top ten prospects. Now each day write about
the Mariners look at one of the add
prospects. So today number 11 prospect is Zach DeLoach drafted in
the second round by the Mariners in
2020. Hard to know when he makes
the majors however with the depth
of outfielders likely be fourth outfielder
on the Mariners. The Mariners could
end up trading as well.

DeLoach is currently playing at double
A Arkansas. He is in his second season
in the Mariners system. DeLoach is
currently hitting .258 with Arkansas
along with three home runs and 24
runs batted in. He is a left handed bat
and can play all three outfield position.
Get back to him later to see improvement.  Go M's.
