Big Ten schools have done who
played winning the season open.
The same goes for the Ciugs and
Zags.
The Huskies got off to a good start
early though they let UC Davis stay
in the game. Under Mike Hopkins
the Huskies often started off slow.
The Huskies did let Davis stick
around though. Final Washington 79
UC
The game would have been farther
apart had they shot better from the
foul line. Huskies shot at 55% shots
made. It was right at 50% until late
in the game. Both teams made the
same amount of free throws however
the Huskies took 12 more shots.
Had the Huskies made six more it
would have made more comfortable
ending.
The Huskies played mostly seven
players all going at least twenty
minutes. Forward Great Osobor
in his first game as a Husky led
the team with 15 points and 17
rebounds which is amazing stat.
Most likely he will be the team's
best player.
The Huskies had five players score
in double figures with three starters
and two reserves. Senior DJ Davis
had only two points late in the game.
We should see much better the rest
of the season. The Huskies rotation
should be seven though two others
will see OK minutes around fifteen.
This would depend on the opponent
and foul trouble.
Louis Kortright played fifteen minutes
as the eighth player and Tyler Harris
played well late in the game going
12 minutes and having nine points.
Both could play additional minutes
going forward. Kortright had been
hurt during camp so he performs
well as does Harris more minutes.
The Huskies will need play better
against Nevada on Saturday
who beat Sam Houston 91-75
in season opener. Go Dawgs!
