Saturday late afternoon 5 pm Pacific
time at Penn State.
The Huskies face the number six
team in the country. Last week the Huskies beat USC Trojans at home
26-21 while Penn State lost to Ohio
State number two 20-13. The Nittany
Lions are favored by 13.5 points.
The Huskies are 0-3 on the road.
They are tied for eighth place in the
Big Ten.
The Huskies and the Nittany Lions
have played only four times and
three were in bowl games. Penn
State won last time in the 2017
Fiesta Bowl 35-28.
Penn State average 187.5 yards
a game on the ground. I am sure
they will open up against the UW
in that manner. They are 24th ranked
throwing the ball however the Huskies
are one of the top teams on pass defense.
The Nittany Lions quarterback is
Drew Allar who completes just over
seventy percent of his throws and
has 12 touchdown pass and five
interceptions on the season.
Kaytron Allen is the Nittany Lions
starting running back averaging
sixty-seven yards a game at 4.7
yards per carry. He has four TDs
on the season.
Tyler Warren is Penn State's leading
receiver with 51 catches and four
touchdowns.
Penn State is averaging 30.5 points a game and giving up 15. This game
could come close to their average.
Even in their four losses the Huskies
have better stats against their opponents. It will be important for
the Huskies to do better in the red
zone if they want to have any chance
to win. The defense causing a turnover
or two would help as well. Go Dawgs!
