on the offensive this time.
The Mariners got to Verlander early scoring six runs in four innings. The Mariners got only
one run after that, however,
it was the bullpen costing the
Mariners the game.
The Mariners showed they can
play with the Astros so hopefully they will comeback
in game two on Thursday when
Luis Castillo takes the mound.
The Mariners were leading 7-3
heading going into the eighth
inning. Andre Munoz gave up
two runs in the 8th but the Mariners were still leading by
two.
Paul Sewald started the 9th
but couldn't get the job done.
The Mariners still had a chance to win. They brought in Robbie
Ray to face Yordan Alvarez who
ended the game with a three-run homer off of Ray. You could
say this was a mistake by Servais but Ray still should have gotten the job done.
We hope Castillo will be able
to.pitch like he did in the opener against Toronto to tie
the series. The Mariners seem
to have a bad time in.Houston.
We hope this the only game
works out this way. Go M's.
