Colorado winning 1-0 on Sunday.
The game came down to Luis Castillo
and left fielder Jarred Kelenic. Castillo
went six innings pitching a perfect
game. The question was he going
to be the first pitcher to throw a perfect
game since the King Felix Hernandez.
Unfortunately he gave up two singles to
lead off the seventh but was able to get
out the next three batters. Luis Castillo
now has an era of 0.73 on the season.
Jarred Kelenic had the bat and the glove.
Six inning he drove in the only run in the
game driving in Ty France. In the eighth
inning he made a diving catch in right
field. This saved the game.
Monday the Mariners take on Milwaukee
Brewers. Chris Flexen starts and hopefully
does better than blowing the seven run
lead they had against the Cubs in game
two last Tuesday. I expect he will do
better but the Mariners offense will have to come alive again.
The Brewers are much better than the
Rockies leading the National League
Central with an 11-5 records. Means
the Mariners must do better. Go team.
