Cougars will be until they play the
Washington Huskies in two weeks
in Seattle in the Apple Cup.
The Cougars offense had a good day
for sure winning 70-30 over Portland
State. They had three rushing
touchdowns and six passing
touchdowns. The defense had an interception for a touchdown as well.
Wayshawn Parker lead the Cougars
in rushing with 96 yards. He had two
touchdowns with the first being 54
yards rushing while the second was
a reception for 52 yards. The two
were one after the other.
Cougars starting quarterback John
Mateer completed 11 of 17 yards for
352 yards and five touchdowns. Zevi
Eckhaus backup completed six of
seven for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Kyle Williams the teams top receiver
returning had four catches for 141
yards and two touchdowns. Kris
Hutson had four catches as well
for 102 yards and a touchdown.
The Cougars take on Texas Tech
next Saturday night at home.
This game should be a challenge
for the Cougars. Go Cougs!
