Preview Week Two: Eastern Michigan Vs Washington

The Washington Huskies beat Weber
State last Saturday 35-3 at home
while Eastern Michigan beat UMass
28-14.

These teams have never played each 
other just like last weeks opponent 
before.  Eastern Michigan were 6-7
overall and 4-4 in the MAC Conference.
Toledo won the conference 8-0.

Cole Snyder is the starting quarterback.
He is a transfer and this is his third stop
after playing at Buffalo and Rutgers.
Snyder completed 17 of 29 completions 
for 241 yards and a touchdown. He
ran for a touchdown as well.

Eastern Michigan Eagles go with two
running backs primarily. Dontse McMillan
the starter had 15 carries for 54 yards 
while Dilbert Mimms had 60 on 12 carries
and had a touchdown. The Huskies had
trouble stopping the run in the last game
so they will need to make an improvement.

Oran Singleton the Eagles top receiver
had a busy day having eight catches for
89 yards and the only touchdown in the
air. The Huskies defensive backs will
have to watch out.

The Eagles play three front on defense 
with three linebackers and five defensive
backs. Middle linebacker James Djonkam
lead them.with 10 tackles. 

Jonah Coleman had the  most carries
for the Huskies at 16 for 127 yards and 
three touchdowns. Cameron Davis 
returned after being out most of last
season. He had five carries for 22 yards.

Giles Jackson finally having to start
at wide receiver had his best day
with ten catches for 98 yards. Denzel 
Boston who was one of the top
receiver backup last year had six
receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Cameron Davis who has  done well
coming out of the bsckfield had
three catches. At tight end Quentin
Moore was hurt so freshman Decker
DeGraaf had a catch for 33 yards
and his first career touchdown.
Moore might be out a few games 
so DeGraaf will be number for now.

The Huskies defense will need to improve
on Saturday against the run. The Huskies
have a talented secondary. Go Dawgs!
