team has had a few lapses on the
season for the most part they are
playing well under new head coach
Danny Sprinkle. Not an easy task with
a new group of playerd either.
The Huskies won 75-69. Both teams
shot the same on the court except they
scored a few more 3s and they did
better at tge free throw line which is
a good sign too.
The Huskies had a bit of a change
in the starting rotation. Great Osobar
was the only one with success led in
scoring with 20 and rebounds with 12.
Maryland is known for being a physical
team so Osobar able to get in with
them is a good sign.
Zoom Diallo freshman standout came
off tge bench for the Huskies to be second in scoring with 18 points. He
continues to be a success story. St
this point they are bringing him off
the bench though he is playing a lot
of minutes.
Grad students DJ Davis was the third
member scoring in double figures as
a trio and he had 17 points. He has
been inconsistent all season however
I am sure he knows conference play
is real important.
The Huskies had 11 players who
played however eight will get most
of the minutes. This was important
win as the Huskies lost their first
two games to UCLA and USC earlier
in December. The Huskies will play
UCLA again on January 24 and USC
in the next to last in conference play.
Oregon is the only team in Big Ten
to play twice this season while
the rest is just once. Other words
we won't see Maryland again unless
in Bid Ten tournament or the NCAA
tournament.
The Huskies next game will be Sunday
again at home again this time against
Illinois. They are another tough opponent being 2-1 in conference
and 10-3 overall. They beat Oregon
on Thursday 109-77. The Ducks have had a good season so shows how
good they are and on the road. Go Dawgs!
