The Gonzaga Bulldogs won easily once again beating Saint Mary's 90-60. The Bulldogs have five games remaining on their schedule. They have a three game lead over second place BYU who are 8-3 in WCC while they are 11-0. Gonzaga's next game will be next Saturday at Pepperdine.
Gonzaga now are playing to get ready for the NCAA tournament. Unless they are upset in one of these five games or lose in the WCC tournament they should have a number one seed probably in the West region.
The Seattle Dragons made their debut in the XFL on Saturday losing 31-19. Not a very exciting game to watch though the style of play and rules different than the NFL. I have to admit I didn't watch much of the game just tuning into the game on occasion. I hope the future games will look better than this one.
Dragons next game will be against the Tampa Bay Vipers next Saturday at home in Century Link Field. The game starts at 2 pm with it being televised on Fox. I hope it will be a better game after the coaches realize what mistakes they made along with the players.
The Washington Huskies play WSU Cougars in Pullman at 3 pm on Sunday. With a week off we are hoping the Huskies men's basketball team will be playing better ball than they have for the last month. We will see how it goes.
Wednesday the Mariners pitchers and catchers report to Peoria, Arizona. Although we are not expecting a team to have a winning record this coming season it will be interesting to see how season two of the rebuild happens. We are hoping to see the young players be ready to be major league players. We are looking to see if the Mariners sign any more players before training camp especially starting pitching. Go M's.
