with five draft picks on D's three
They ppicked up two cornerbacks,
another linebacker/edge rusher and
finished off with two wide receivers.
Coby Bryant a cornerback from
Cincinnati was picked in the 4th
round. Bryant is considered a
physical corner. In the 5th round
is cornerback Tariq Woolen out of
University Texas of San Antonio.
Woolen is being compared to Richard
Sherman. Both 5th rounders who
switched from wide receiver to
cornerback. Wouldn't be nice to get
a second find.
The second 5th round pick was
Tyreke Smith as edge rusher. He
comes from Ohio State so could
be a find to.
The two seventh round picks are
wide receivers. The chance making
the Seahawks isn't great but never
know. They are Bob Melton out of
Rutgers and Dareke Young from
Lenoir-Rhyne a division two school
out of Hickory, North Carolina. Young
played special teams all four years
which he will have to do if he makes
the Seahawks. Best to all five players.
Cade Otton tight end was the first
Husky to be drafted on day three.
In fact, he was the first player picked
on the day by Tampa Bay. Hadn't
been for injuries last season may
have been drafted earlier.
Luke Wattenberg center was drafted
in the 5th round by Denver Broncos.
Looks like he will be hiking the ball
to Russell Wilson. Being a 5th rounder
likely will be a backup. His versatility
he may play anywhere on the offensive
line. The Huskies had four players
taken in the draft.
When it comes to the Washington
State Cougars the Seahawks drafted
Abe Lucas in the 3rd round. Only other
player from the Cougars picked was
cornerback Jaylen Watson. Any other
Cougars and Huskies will sign as
college free agents. We will let you
know will sign and where.
