Mariners Opener Postponed

The Seattle  Mariners  season opener
won't happen  until  Friday at this point.
Thursday the weather  is  expecting
snow and rain mixed.

Why the Minnesota Twins  don't have
a roof on their  stadium is a good
question  or the very least start the
season  on the road.  With the lockout
and season starting a week later major
league  baseball  could have changed
the schedule  where the series be in
Seattle and the later series be in
Minnesota.

The series in Minnesota will now be
Friday thru Monday  followed by
three in Chicago against the White Sox.
Would not surprise me if they have to
play at least one double header in
Minnesota as well as Chicago.

The Mariners  did make moves where
pitcher Wyatt Mills was optioned to
Tacoma while pitcher Devin Sweet
along with veteran outfielders Billy
Hamilton and Steven Souza Jr. were
reassigned to minor league camp.
Whether Hamilton or Souza will
play in minors is a big question.  Be
good if they could since be among
the first call ups in case of injury.

Had Julio Rodriguez not had an
outstanding camp along with the
Mariners going  with 10 relievers
either or both Hamilton and Souza
be on the team.

Thursday we will look at  other sports
going on  in the area. Thanks for checking
in and let your friends know. 😊😊😊
