Doug Baldwin wrote a letter to his younger self that sounds like he is retiring after the Seahawks terminated his contract and Kam Chancellor's earlier last week. We can all agree it is an end to an era and these two players were an important part of that era. They are among the Seahawks greats. I am sure we will see both of you around.
The Seahawks signed free agent defensive end Ezekiel Ansah who will help with the absence of Frank Clark. This will help in the development of this years number one pick L.J. Collier as well.
We could see Collier moving inside on passing downs while Ansah is on the outside. This will help add depth to the defensive line where players can go in and out. A lot in the same way when Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril came to Seattle being backups in the beginning. This will allow fresh players throughout the season.
The Seahawks signed three names not as familiar in cornerback Jamar Taylor, fullback Nick Bellore and guard Marcus Martin. They add depth to the Seahawks as well.
We thank you Doug Baldwin and Kam Chancellor for a great job well done. The 12th man salutes you.
