Jaden McDaniels Goes To Washington

Five-star recruit Jaden McDaniels out of Federal Way High School announced Tuesday night on his Twitter account he decided to go to play for his local university. The announced showed "Stay at Home".

I am sure Washington Huskies Head Coach Mike Hopkins is jumping up with joy in snagging McDaniels. The Huskies were in a tight heat with Kentucky for getting a highly recruited player as McDaniels. This was after getting Isaiah Stewart another five-star recruit in April.

McDaniels will have the flexibility of either playing down low on defense or at the top of the key depending on how Coach Hopkins wants to use him. He has the height to play down low but would have to add some pounds to his lean body while he could play the center at the top because of his long arms.

Right now it is hard to know how long either McDaniels or Stewart will stick around since they are both projected high top draft picks to the NBA. Either or both could play only one season at UW.

Anyway McDaniels thanks for making the decision to stay home. I know it wasn't an easy decision. Go Dawgs!
