The Seattle Seahawks had two final picks since
my last update. They took Freddie Swain wide
receiver from Florida in the sixth round Not a lot
known about Swain however, I am sure we will
in the days and weeks ahead. With the depth of
wide receivers his chances are not great in making
the roster.
Swain was expected to be the last pick by the
Hawks but they traded next year's sixth round
pick to pick up Stephen Sullivan from LSU.
Most of his career at LSU Sullivan was a wide
receiver but was moved to tight end his senior year.
This means the Seahawks have a lot of tight ends on
their roster now.
Recap of the Seahawks draft. 1st round they drafted
without moving down in the 27th spot for linebacker
Jordyn Brooks out of Texas Tec. Second round they
moved up to take Darrell Taylor defensive end from
Tennessee. They picked up a third round by trading
down picking up Damien Lewis guard from LSU.
In the fourth round the Seahawks had two picks
selecting tight end Colby Parkinson of Stanford,
and running back Deejay Dallas of Miami.
In the fifth round they selected defensive end
Alton Robinson from Syracuse followed by
Swain and Sullivan.
Locally the Huskies were disappointed only having
quarterback Jacob Eason drafted by the Indianapolis
Saturday in the fourth round and center Nick Harris
by the Cleveland Browns. Harris who started his
college career at Washington playing both guard
spots could play both those positions well as
at center.
Juniors Hunter Bryant and Salvon Ahmed along
with senior Trey Adams had to be disappointed
not be drafted at all. They will have to look at
signing as college free agents with some team.
It would be nice if at least one of them will be
signed by the Seattle Seahawks.
I will update you on Monday what players the
Seahawks will sign as college free agents.
I write about local sports however, you can view another of my blogs which I write about life at http://lookatlifepurpose.com
