Review of Day One And Two NFL Draft

The Seattle Seahawks ended up with three
draft picks in the first three rounds.

The first round they actually kept their
pick instead of moving down like they
have the last eight drafts. They ended up
picking Jordyn Brooks a linebacker from
Texas Tech. His strength is stopping the
run which the Seahawks had trouble with
last season.

On day two on Friday they traded up to #48
overall from #59 with the New York Jets.
They not only swapped spots they gave
the Jets their third round pick. The Seahawks
selected defensive end Darrell Taylor from
Tennessee. He ended up being in the middle
of the second round.

The Seahawks had another second round pick.
It was the last pick of the second round, however,
they traded down with the Carolina picking up
the Panthers third round pick along with a
fifth round pick. The Seahawks picked Damien
Lewis a guard from LSU. He was the fifth pick
of the third round.

Saturday the draft will begin at 9 am Pacific time.
The Seahawks have two picks in the fourth round
#133 and 144 overall. Both are in the last half
of the fourth round. There is a possibility the
Seahawks could move up again or move down with
the second pick to add more picks.

The fifth round pick they acquired in the trade with
Carolina will be the second pick of the round #148
overall. As of now the last pick of the Seahawks
will be in round six at #214 overall so they will
have to for a while between those last two picks
unless something changes.

I will update today after the two picks take place
in the fourth round followed later when the draft
is over. Enjoy the draft.

Still no Huskies or Cougars have been drafted.
