Seahawks Shut Out in Green Bay

The Seattle Seahawks with the return
of Russell Wilson was shut out 17-0.
Wilson played like he had missed
three games completing 20 out 40
passes for 161 yards and two
interceptions. One interception
was in the third quarter when it
looked like Seahawks would score.

The Seahawks had a chance to lead
since it was only 3-0 Packers at
the time. Former Washington Husky
Kevin King intercepted the pass
though it looked like he wasn't
having total control of the ball but
review didn't turn it back to the
Seahawks. Packers went down
and scored. With 1:56 remaining
in the game the Packers scored
their second and final touchdown.

News came out Sunday afternoon
the Washington Huskies fired head
coach Jimmy Lake who had been
suspended before the loss to the
Arizona State Sun Devils on
Saturday.  Bob Gregory defensive
coordinator who coached the team
on Saturday will coach the Huskies
the last two games of the season as
well. The Huskies will start look
for a new coach immediately.

WSU Cougars lost to the Oregon
Ducks on Saturday 38-24. The
Ducks scored two touchdowns
in the first quarter than the Cougars
came back with two td's of their
own to tie at 14-14 at half time.

The Ducks shut out the Cougars
in the third quarter while scoring
10 points. The Cougars scored 10
points themselves in the 4th quarter
however the Ducks had 14 as well.
The Ducks ran the ball 306 yards.
They had almost 11 more minutes
having the ball than the Cougars.
WSU and Oregon State are tied for
second with 4-3 records in the Pac-12
north. The Ducks should win the
division.

In men's basketball the Cougars are
2-0 beating Alcorn State 85-67 in
the opener and Seattle U. 79-61.
The Washington Huskies are 1-1
losing their opener to North Illinois
however coming back to be North
Arizona.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs ranked #1
in the country are 2-0. They take on
Alcorn State at home Monday night.

Still no trade or free agent signing
for the Mariners yet. Maybe today
be the day?

The Seattle Kraken lost again on
Saturday night 4-2 to the Minnesota
Wild. The Kraken had beaten them
in their previous meeting. The Kraken
now have lost 4 straight games. They
will take on the Chicago Blackhawks
on Wednesday night. Having three
days off may help the Kraken to get
things going. The Kraken now have
a record of 4-10-1. Though an
expansion team I think everyone
expected more from this team.
