Washington Huskies Men's Basketball

On Thursday Night the Washington
men's basketball team lost to Wyoming
in what should be called an upset. They
lost 77-72 in overtime.

They are now 2-2 on the season. The
Huskies have players that getting to
know each other since only two starters
Jamal Bey and Nate Roberts returned.
Bey had 10 points in the game while
Roberts had 3 points along with 7
rebounds but he only played 19 minutes.

The Huskies were led by Terrell Brown Jr
with 30 points. Brown Jr and Bey were
the only ones to score in double figures.
Next was PJ Fuller with 9 points.

The Huskies continue to have trouble
hitting behind the 3 point line. They
made 5 of 26 shots behind the arc.
Also they made only 15 of 23 foul shots
to. Had they made a couple more free
throws and an additional or two behind
the 3 pt line they would have won.

Wyoming didn't make a high percentage
of free throws either but shot many more
free throws making 20 of  32.

The Huskies to have a winning record
this year they will need to make higher
percentage of three's and free throws.
They did better having 16 offensive
rebounds. Another area they have had
trouble with.

Huskies next action will be next Monday
when they take on George Mason. They
will be in a three-team tournament in
South Dakota.  They play South Dakota
State on Tuesday and Nevada on Wednesday.
Go Dawgs!
