at sweeping the Rays on their field
on Sunday instead they have lost
two games late.
Whose fault is it? The pitchers need
to do the job however the coaching
need to put them in place of success
don't you think.
Saturday the Mariners hsd a good lead
however let the Rays back in it giving up
four runs in the seventh. Luke Weaver
pitched four plus innings. He gave up
two runs in the fifth and two more in
the seventh.
Gabe Speier came in the seventh inning
with one out. It was too late at that point.
Sometimes the Mariners need to scrap the
book. Rays are a good team but when
you are winning by several runs you can't
leave pitchers in. I am not sure the Mariners have figured that.
My major point is the Mariners are in a
playoff race and what they did in July
doesn't apply in September unless you
are out of the race. The Rays scored
two more runs for 7-5 win.
Please give the pitchers and team best
chance to win.
The Huskies beat Tulsa on Saturday 43-10.
Tulsa scored their lone TD in the 4th quarter. Dylan Morris came in late 4th qtr at qb to score another TD. Two for two on drives. The Huskies defense looks better than last year however to be a top team
in the nation they have to do better. The
good news they know that.
WSU Cougars upset Wisconsin 31-22.
Cigars led 24-9 at half time. Wisconsin scored 13 in the third qtr with the Cougars
going scoreless then they scored a TD
in the fourth quarter while Wisconsin went blank.
Qb Cameron Ward three 32 times with
20 completion for 212 yards and two
TD's. Cougars scored on a fumble by Wisconsin in the second qtr after a field goal. The TD in 4th qtr was on a one yard
run. Next week will be home again
against Northern Colorado.
Beating Wisconsin will Cougars along with
the Beavers be invited to the Big Ten?
If so this would make two divisions of
ten. Go Cougs!
